Find nuggets of wisdom and drive traffic to your website through social media.

I don’t have to tell you how important it is to drive traffic to your website. Your website is where you show up as your best self, where you show the world what you are doing to make it a better place, and where potential clients can reach out to you. The only way for these things to happen is for people to visit your website, and social media is one of the best places to start!

Why I love social media…

While I know there are a lot of haters out there, especially Facebook haters (they do seem to get the most hate don’t they?) I absolutely love social media. Social media has allowed me to connect with markets otherwise closed to me, and connect with some of the most amazing clients ever.

And all of this on a platform that is free for me to use. Sure, there is a time investment involved, but being able to connect with potential customers around the world… it’s priceless!

So today I wanted to share with you how I create social media content from the pages of my website, while driving traffic back to my website. These tips are simple, easy and I am even going to give you some scripts to use! How cool is that!

4 Brilliant Ways to Use Your Website For Social Media Content

1. Blog posts

There is so much more you can do with a simple blog post than just sharing it to your social media pages. First of all that blog post has some awesome nuggets of your wisdom that can be turned into visual posts.  Like this snippet taken from my blog post Use Your Website To Get Ahead Your Competition

1. Think of the user experience

True, your website is there to showcase you, but it is also there to create an experience for your potential customers. By investing time and money into creating clean designs, easy-to-read font combinations, and imagery that tells the story of what you can do, you are creating an experience that is going to stand out in the crowd.

Which was turned into this…

This is just one little nugget of wisdom pulled from this blog post and I know there are more I could use.

2. Use your Branding Images to Drive Traffic

Have you taken the time to do a branding photoshoot?  Sharing just a few of those images is a great way to drive traffic to your About Me page!  Here is an example you can use…

Most don’t realize what goes into making a website amazing and keeping it fresh. Like getting updating your branding images. Check out these images of me throughout the years I have been in business! While I often don’t feel like I have changed all that much, just looking at these images has been thinking back to journey and realizing how much as changed!

3. Pull in Testimonials to highlight portfolios and case studies

Testimonials are the sparkle you can add to your website that sells you from the point of view of your happy customers. And they make great social media posts!

4. Talk about building your visual branding details…

Sharing more about how you came to choose the colors and imagery for your brand gives a little insight into the person behind the brand, and is a great way to invite people to “check out your website.”  Something like this…

Script:
When I began building my brand I wanted to capture [share the feeling you wanted to convey]. These colors and images capture this feeling and really show, this is just who I am. I love the [business title ex. Life Coach, Interior Designer, Organizer, etc.] I have become.

So tell me friend, do you think these colors and images capture the real me? Do you feel [the feeling you want to convey] when you visit my website?

Feeling examples:

  • Warm and inviting
  • Comfortable and relax
  • Easy productivity
